For those of you that are new and don't know the free agency or cap systems, this is for you
First things first, here are the player values based on OVR rating, these values are what determines how many points you have to spend under the current salalry cap.
95-99 OVR= 10 points
90-94 OVR= 9 points
84-89 OVR= 8 points
78-83 OVR= 7 points
70-77 OVR= 6 points
59-69 OVR= 4 points
45-58 OVR= 2 points
01-44 OVR= 1 point
EXCEL FORMULA FOR CAP. =IF(D1:D150>94,10,IF(D1:D150>89, 9,IF(D1:D150>83,8,IF(D1:D150>77,7,IF(D1:D150>69,6,IF(D1:D150>58,4,IF(D1:D150>44,2,IF(D1:D150>=1,1,IF(D1:D150="","")))))))))
The overall team "salary" cap is 332, and that will increase every other season by 2%. The increase will begin with the 2010 season.
Now you will have to do the mandatory cuts which coincides with your record. Some may not like this rule but it is a necessity to keep this league as "sim" as possible.
On to Free Agency. The free agency system is basically an auction of players...with some different rules of course. Firstly, this rule was created to prevent people from exploiting the free agency system:
You cannot release a player then bid less on them than they were previously on your team for, example: I release Peyton Manning and he counts as 10 towards my cap I cannot offer bid on him for any less than 10 points while he is in free agency
